Cylch Meithrin Grangetown a’r Bae is a friendly and welcoming nursery providing excellent Welsh-language childcare for families in the Grangetown and Butetown areas of Cardiff.
We are located at Ysgol Gynradd Hamadryad, and offer childcare sessions for children from 2 years and older during term time. We offer morning, afternoon and all-day sessions (8.45am - 2.45pm), as well as wraparound care for children who attend the school.
The Cylch is lively and busy, and we pride ourselves on having an atmosphere of creativity and fun that we’ve nurtured here. Our fantastic team of staff are professional and caring, and we work closely with parents and the local community to provide the best possible care for our children.
The Cylch offers Welsh-language childcare, which is a great way to introduce the language to your child.
Learning through play is an important part of the care we offer. Some of the regular activities include
- telling imaginative stories
- singing playful songs
- exploring arts and crafts
- messy play and playing with water & sand
- Playing with bikes and scooters
Hours / Fees:
Morning Session: 8.45am - 11.15am = £19.25
Afternoon Session: 12.15pm - 2.45pm = £19.25
All Day Session: 8.45am - 2.45pm = £41
Wraparound Care*: 8.45am - 12.30pm OR 11.15-2.45 = £22 (If using the Childcare Offer for Wales (30 free hours)
* Wraparound care means that the Cylch and School staff walk the children from the Cylch to the Meithrin or vice versa, and the children are looked after during lunchtime at the Cylch.
Food: We offer a healthy snack at every session. Parents are asked to provide a packed lunch for the children.
